Every time I go to my CrossFit local gym, I meet people from all walks of life. But whether they’re at the college level, or my age, or anywhere in between. They had one thing in common.
They’re all very intelligent, and they rank high at the top of their fields. They train consistently and they’re enthusiastic about it, which got me asking, “Is being fit related to their success?” What’s the link between exercise and peak real estate performance?”
Let’s answer those questions in this article, then I’m going to share tips on how you can get in shape as a real estate agent.
How Being Fit Contributes to Real Estate Success?
As a real estate agent, being fit isn’t just about looking good. It’s also about feeling your best. When you take care of your body, it can have a significant impact on your overall success. And it gives you that boost in confidence.
Which can translate to better communication with your clients, and a more assertive approach in negotiations. Which are the bread and butter of real estate.
When you regularly exercise and eat well, you’ll be more productive throughout the day. Also, it enhances your mental clarity, allowing you to make better decisions.
And I don’t want to get scientific, but you need to know that exercise has been proven to trigger the production of key neurotransmitters.
Such as endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine, which help regulate your sleep, mood, and appetite. And you’ll be happier as a result, and be more efficient as a real estate agent.
So, don’t underestimate the impact of being fit in your success as a real estate agent.
Incorporate Fitness Into Your Schedule
The truth is, finding time to exercise can be tough, especially when you’re busy. But there is always a way to make time for fitness.
So my challenge if you’re struggling to get started, is to work out at least 15 minutes a day, it doesn’t have to be intense. Just start by going for a walk. For 15 minutes a day, you will see immediate results and I think you’ll feel really good about yourself.
And I recommend following the old good advice of taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Or any physical activity that you can do as part of your daily routine.
Remember, every effort counts when it comes to staying fit and healthy.
Look Good, Feel Good, Close Good
Looking your best is not just about vanity, it can be a real factor in your success in real estate, as we discussed above. Your physical appearance can affect how your clients perceive you, and their perception speaks volumes.
It projects that you’re hardworking, and responsible, which can help build trust with your clients.
Finally, taking care of your physical health, whether it’s through exercise, healthy eating, or good hygiene, can help boost your self-confidence. And you’ll look your best — and when you look your best, you’ll feel your best, you’ll attract more clients and close deals with sheer confidence.
