Confidence isn’t something you wait to feel. It’s something you build.
As an agent, confidence is everything. When a client hires you, they need to know you know what you’re doing. Part of that is skill — know your business, know your market, know your craft cold. There’s no substitute for that.
But the other part is mental. It’s managing what you focus on, not letting your mind dwell on the losses instead of the wins. The agents who fall apart under pressure aren’t lacking skill. They’re losing the battle between their ears.
Before every big presentation, I visualize it going well. I see the win before I ever walk in the door. That’s not luck, and it’s not arrogance. It’s preparation.
Confidence isn’t something that shows up on its own. It’s practice. It’s rehearsal. And ultimately, it’s choosing the story you tell yourself before you ever open your mouth.
